Direct Debit Setup Guide
Your membership portal can be accessed at https://members.medicaldefensesociety.com/portal/member/login You will arrive at the login page as shown below. Please enter the email address and password you used when first registering with MDS. If you have forgotten the password you can use the ‘Forgot Password’ link.
After successfully logging in you will arrive at your portal home page. From there you can:
- See outstanding invoices
- See previous payments you have made
- Access statements
- Find out your membership number
- Edit the address MDS has on file for yourself
- Find contact details for MDS
To set-up, a direct debit click on ‘Invoices’ on the left-hand column
You will see the outstanding invoices from MDS which are awaiting payment. Click on ‘Pay Now’ in the red box
You will then see the ‘Direct Debit’ option to pay the invoice. Select this option.
If you already have an account set-up with GoCardless (our Direct Debit provider), you will see the option to pay using the existing account. You can either pay for the invoice using the existing account or you can set-up a new account. If you have never set up a direct debit account with MDS, this will default to a new account.
If you are setting a new account you will arrive into account set-up page. Complete the necessary details on the form to finish setting up a direct debit with MDS
